Known for large-scale black & grey realism, color realism, and deeply personal custom projects, he has earned multiple Best of Show and Tattoo of the Day awards throughout his career. By working in an appointment-only environment, I'm able to provide a quieter, more comfortable experience where every detail is focused on you.
No crowded waiting areas. No distractions. Just a clean, professional setting where your privacy, comfort, and tattoo experience come first.
Conveniently located on Kingston Pike and less than a mile from Pellissippi Parkway exit, Allan Mandi Tattoo operates inside the prestigious Image Studios—a modern professional facility designed for independent beauty, wellness, and creative professionals. With ample parking directly in front of the building, a welcoming reception area, and a dedicated private suite, the experience feels closer to visiting a private medical or aesthetic clinic than a traditional tattoo shop.
Unlike many private studios that are completely enclosed behind four walls and a closed door, the studio features modern glass-fronted walls that provide privacy while maintaining visibility and openness. Clients can enjoy a comfortable one-on-one experience without feeling isolated or disconnected from the professional environment around them.

Finally wrapped up my right arm piece — a Ganesh tattoo brought to life by Allan Mandi, and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.
From the first session to the last, Allan’s attention to detail, patience, and overall artistry were next level. The balance, flow, and symbolism in this piece really stand out — Ganesh came through with both power and precision. Every line feels intentional, and the shading gives it incredible depth.

Allan is actually the best tattoo artist you could ask ask for. Not only is his work AMAZING, but he is sooo kind and so professional and just overall a great person!
I just appreciate him and his wife more than you’ll ever know. Cause when I came to drop my deposit off she made me feel so comfortable I knew I was in good hands with them that very moment!! I truly just want everyone to know how amazing my experience was and how accommodating they were. I’ll never get a tattoo from anyone else!
I was supposed to only have one session but I have allot of health problems and ended up too sick to finish and he set me up another appointment to finish and was so incredibly nice and just asked every other minute of there was anything he could do!
He has a fan/heater and snacks and drinks and literally anything you could think of to just make you comfortable. I could go on and on about how amazing my experience was here and I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for any kind of tattoo!! -

Allan is one of the most talented artists you’ll ever find (just take a look at his work and all of the first place trophies in his shop).
He takes the time to understand the design you are looking for and has the vision and artistic talent to turn it into a one of a kind masterpiece. I sat in the chair for 17 hours over two sessions and couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
He is down to earth, easy to talk to and makes the experience super enjoyable. I would wager a bet right now that he ends up on the show inked in the future. Don’t walk… RUN! -

Allan is the best of the best!! Nobody around here does realism like Allan, especially not in color (trust me, I did a lot of research on color realism before finding him).
Allan has many qualities that make him stand out from other artists, but one of these is how seriously & passionately he takes his work. There were several times where I thought the tattoo looked great, and I was satisfied, but he holds himself to a whole other level with his work & he did not stop until he felt that it was done to the best of his abilities.
His space is clean & sanitized to the max, he’s got the comfiest tattoo chair ever (extra padding, pillows, blankets…it’s awesome), he’s really silly & entertaining, very intelligent, & one of the most genuine & kind humans I’ve ever met (his wife may have him beat in this area though lol).
I absolutely love my tattoo, especially since it was a coverup & I get compliments all the time on my “little gnomie”, or duwende.
